More financially secure than most of the men Cherie has met, and certainly not unattractive, Bo is a good catch, but it takes Cherie a while to realize that. Superb play about several people stranded at a small-town williaj during a blizzard. Bus Stopromantic comedy in three acts by William Ingeperformed and published in Cherie Cherie, an attractive chanteuse, slightly past her prime, who has been singing in a Kansas City nightclub but is now traveling igne, allegedly for a film test at a Hollywood studio.
Even as she’s ducking out from under his clumsy but confident embraces, and screeching at him fiercely to shut him up, she pauses to furrow her forehead and muse, “Somehow deep inside of me I got a funny feeling I’m gonna end up in Montana ” As a counterpoint to the main romance, the proprietor of the cafe and the bus driver at last find time to develop a friendship of their own; a middle-age scholar comes to terms with himself; and a young girl who works in the cafe also gets her first taste of romance.
They travel to Phoenix because the young man is determined to win the rodeo contests and meet an angel.
Re-read for the umpteenth time in preparation for a production. At least, all these things can happen until the snow is blown away and the curtain is pulled, leaving us to wonder how many of the changes will stick or whether each character will be back in the same muddle the next time the winds howl.

For a show that takes place in the 50s, it does a fairly good job of creating universal characters and a story that contemporary audiences can still appreciate. Now he insists that she must marry him, presumably to make him an honest man.
